Sports Performance Director
A Jacksonville, Illinois native, Brian has lived in the Indianapolis area for the last 18 years. Specializing in speed training and corrective exercise for Sports Performance, Brian has trained athletes of all levels in multiple sports. He has a background in Exercise Science and is continually studying the human performance industry, keeping up with the latest research and training techniques. Brian continues to help athletes improve and reach their full potential, as they strive to become a better athlete and leader.
After training as an independent contractor in other facilities, Brian took the next step and co-founded SPARTA in Jan 2013. SPARTA continued to grow and in Jan 2015 SPARTA expanded from 21,000 to 30,000 sq/ft and launched INFOCUS Sports Training Solutions. Along with Levar Johnson overseeing the on field training for NFL prospects wide receiver, Cameron Meredith (Illinois State University/Chicago Bears) and tight end, James O’Shaughnessy (Illinois State University/Kansas City Chiefs), Brian and the INFocus Speed and Performance Enhancement Specialist trained these NFL prospects in preparation for their Collegiate Pro Days. In late February of 2015 offensive tackle, Rob Crisp (North Carolina State/Arizona Cardinals) was added to the class all of which showed improved performance after their training.
Brian helps oversee facility operations and the SPARTA performance enhancement staff on a daily basis, providing elite training for all levels of athletes in multiple sports. Continuing to train pro athletes under the InFocus umbrella and training SPARTA members as young as 1st grade through High School and College, Brian is living his dream owning an elite sports facility and changing the lives of athletes young and old.
Director of Football Operations and On-Field Training
Spanning his 30 plus year coaching career Levar has coached numerous athletes that have gone on and competed at all levels of collegiate athletics and professional sports.
As Director of Football Operations and On-Field Training for InFocus, Levar handles all day to day operations and oversees all position specific training for players. Levar helped train Heisman Trophy Finalist, Jordan Lynch (Edmonton Eskimos/Northern Illinois University) and former 6th Round pick of the Baltimore Ravens, Keith Wenning (Ball State University) for the 2014 NFL Combine and their respective Collegiate Pro Days. Levar has worked with former NFL quarterbacks Chandler Harnish (Indianapolis Colts/Minnesota Vikings/Arizona Cardinals), Keith Wenning (Baltimore Ravens/Cincinnati Bengals) and Josh Woodrum (Indianapolis Colts). Currently, Levar trains some of the top high school and college quarterbacks from the State of Indiana.
In January of 2015 Levar added to his resume by overseeing the on-field training for NFL prospects wide receiver, Cameron Meredith (Chicago Bears/Illinois State University) and tight end, James O’Shaughnessy (Kansas City Chiefs/Illinois State University). Along with Brian Griffitts they trained these NFL prospects in preparation for their Collegiate Pro Days. In late February of 2015 former Arizona Cardinals offensive tackle, Rob Crisp (North Carolina State) was added to the class of trainees.
In 2016 Levar trained tight end, Michael Miller (Indianapolis Colts/Taylor University) and wide receiver, Wendall Williams (Houston Texans/University of the Cumberlands) in preparation for their Collegiate Pro Days and NFL Regional Combine. Levar continues to work with NFL tight ends and wide receivers during the offseason which have included James O’Shaughnessy (Kansas City Chiefs), Ross Travis (Kansas City Chiefs), Cameron Meredith (Chicago Bears), Jordan Williams-Lambert (New Orleans Saints) and former Houston Texans receiver, Josh Lenz.
