BEGINNER BOXING

Tuesdays and Thursdays
5:30 – 6:00 pm
Saturday mornings
8:30 – 9:00 am

This class if for everyone no matter what age or fitness level. We will teach you the basics of the sweet science (boxing) in a very easy and fun environment. Boxing is for everyone and can be a great way to exercise and build self-confidence. This class takes the mystery out of boxing and will leave you with the tools to move into the intermediate class and get a great workout.

Requirements:

Boxing gloves (your own or rented)
Must be self-motivated but willing to be coach directed
Must bring required gear (headgear/mouthpiece)
Must be willing to light spar on occasion
What can you expect in this class:

A focus on the fundamentals:
Interactive partner work
Lightly structured with coaching presence
Light sparring on occasion
Boxing IQ Strategy discussions
Group strength and conditioning finishers

INTERMEDIATE BOXING

Tuesdays and Thursdays
6:00 – 7:00 pm
Saturday mornings
9:00 – 10:00 am

This class if for boxer who has a firm grasp on the basic techniques that are taught in the beginner class and is now moving on to mastery of spatial awareness and timing. Whether you are in it for the fitness or just learning the ropes, this class is for you. This

Class is coach directed, high tempo and very fun.

Requirements:

Must be coach approved
Must be self-motivated but willing to be coach directed
Must bring required gear (headgear/mouthpiece)
Must be willing to light spar on occasion
What can you expect in this class:

ADVANCED INTERMEDIATE BOXING

Tuesdays and Thursdays
6:30 – 7:30 pm
Saturday mornings
9:30 -10:30 am

This class is for the boxer who has developed in technique and experience knows there way around the gym. If you want to have an interactive boxing experience but don’t necessarily want to compete in sanctioned amateur or profession competitions then this class is for you.

Requirements:

Must be coach approved
Must be self-motivated but willing to be coach directed
Must bring required gear (headgear/mouthpiece)
Must be willing to light spar on occasion

COMPETITION BOXING

Tuesdays and Thursdays
7:00 – 8:30 pm
Saturday mornings
9:30 -11:00 am

This group is invitation only and for the serious boxer who is looking to compete in sanctioned amateur and professional matches

Requirements:

Must be coach approved
Must be self-motivated but willing to be coach directed
Regular attendance
Must bring required gear (headgear/cup/mouthpiece)
Must be willing to spar
Registered with USA Boxing (amateur)

Challenging pace
Lightly structured with coaching presence
Regular sparring
Strategic instruction
Group accountability

Judo Instructor Mario Camacho

Judo

Mario has been practicing judo for 8 years and is a Shodan (1st degree black belt). He started Judo at Ball State University with Sensei Woosuk Suh from Korea. Since then he has had the privilege of training with Sensei Gary Thornton and Sensei’s John and Dawn Branson. Mario is a National Level Coach and continues to further his knowledge by training and attending judo clinics.

DESCRIPTION

SPARTA Judo is perfect for ages 8 and up. Translated to English as, “The Gentle Way” Judo is a dynamic sport utilizing throws and pins like wrestling, along with chokes and armbars like Jujitsu. SPARTA Judo will focus on conditioning, strong technique, randori (practice fighting) and knowledge of the sport and history. Our goal is to help each student develop strength, flexibility, agility, speed, dynamic and static balance, explosive power, and endurance. The practice of active attack and defense will help develop reaction time, coordination, and overall physical self-confidence.

UNLIMITED
TRAINING
